Andrew Hansen

Andrew Hansen is the owner and head professor of Team Hansen BJJ, bringing nearly two decades of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience to the mats. Over the course of his competitive career, Andrew has established himself among the elite in the sport, earning the #1 world ranking in No-Gi at Master 2 Black Belt, #4 in Gi at Master 2 Black Belt, and finishing in the Top 5 of the Brown Belt world rankings.

A multiple-time IBJJF gold medalist, Andrew’s international accomplishments include a European Open Brown Belt Silver Medal, Pan American Black Belt Bronze Medal, and European Open Black Belt Bronze Medal. His success at the highest levels of competition reflects both his technical mastery and relentless work ethic.

Beyond his personal achievements, Andrew has built a reputation as an exceptional coach, guiding multiple athletes to World and Pan American championship titles and podium finishes. His passion for teaching is unmatched in the region, and his commitment to each student’s growth—on and off the mats—sets the tone for the entire Team Hansen community.
